Public Service Roadshow
The Call to Serve Network is the only national network that collaborates with both government agencies and colleges and universities to promote public service and connect students with government career opportunities.
Through the Public Service Roadshow, our team visits campuses across the country to provide workshops and training on navigating government career opportunities, recruit for paid opportunities in government and engage directly with students, faculty, staff and advisors!
Each visit is tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of your campus and might include:

An overview of our GoGovernment resources, including:
An overview of career opportunities for students, such as:
- The Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program
- Federal Career Guides
- State Career Guides
- California Career Guides
- Entry-level openings at various agencies
Sessions are tailored to students and the advisors and staff who support students in their pursuit of public service careers. We also collaborate with career services programming, partner with on-campus groups and visit student centers.
Impact
In 2022, we reached 2,318 students and delivered 85 presentations.
72% of students surveyed felt likely to pursue opportunities in the federal government after the workshop.
86% of students surveyed agreed that the workshop was a good use of their time.
In 2023, we reached 1,064 students and delivered 48 presentations.
89% of students surveyed felt likely to pursue opportunities in the federal government after the workshop.
88% of students surveyed agreed that the workshop was a good use of their time.
In 2024, we reached 2,606 students and delivered 79 presentations.
70% of students surveyed felt likely to pursue opportunities in the federal government after the workshop.
97% of students surveyed agreed that the workshop was a good use of their time.
In 2026, we received a special grant focused on California and state government careers.

Of survey respondents,
77.8% agreed or strongly agreed that the session was a good use of their time.
I found this session to be very informative and helpful in my consideration of careers in the federal government. I did not know about GoGovernment.org or some of the terms on the USAJOBS search, as well as the distinction with federal resumes, so I found these points to be helpful! Thank you for sharing this information and motivating people to join the federal government!
I really enjoyed the webinar. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks USAJOBS is complicated to navigate, which helped boost my confidence. I didn’t know about the resume builder tool and I’ll be sure to make multiple for various roles.
